The thick check fabric is woven with 8 count yarn and given a deeper raised finish (shaggy raised) than usual. The fabric is smooth to the touch, stiff and sturdy, and has a warm texture.

Because of its long pile, air is contained within the fibers to keep heat in, and even when worn as an inner layer from the chilly season into winter, it will keep your body heat in place.
